Learn More About Summer Camps 2011 GAMES
(psst… this is language learning undercover – keep it quiet!)
Peek in any of our summer camp venues near Redondo Beach and you will see kids passing a “hot potato” in Spanish, or rushing to the corners in an Italian version of "4 corners", or maybe they are engaged in a scavenger hunt in French, or jumping a hopscotch grid in Chinese.
Summer camps at Savoir Faire are all about moving and playing as children are introduced to beginning foreign language skills. For the most part the kids are not even aware they are busy learning they are so involved with the game!
If “duck duck goose” sounds more like, “azul, azul, rojo” or human bingo goes from, “What is your name?” to “Comment t’appelles-tu?”, for your kids, it is just part of the new rules.
So if you want to know what new language they learned in class – just ask them to describe the games they played!
